First, Easy, Fun Workout Tip
While I am completely aware that many adult sports leagues or even just pick-up games are sweaty old men trying to hang on to a dying last glimpse of youth, you have to admit it's better than nothing. I just spent the evening under an umbrella, chasing my two year old around a soccer complex, but when I was still enough to watch, i saw my husband and some of his buddies from high school running around having a ton of fun, and getting a great workout that they otherwise would absolutely not have gotten. And for two nights a week, ten weeks through the summer they play, and workout, and have a great time. So tip number one: the easiest, funnest thing I have learned to stay healthy is organized sports. Okay, so you were never any good at anthing in high school. You're 50+ and haven't done any organized exercise in 40 years. Get some friends together and take a class. Dancing, swimming, tennis, flag football. If you are with your friends you will be much less likely to "fall away" or devise higher priorities. You will have tons of fun, probably meet new people, and even if it's just a light workout, you will being doing more than if you hadn't done anything. You may even get hooked. I started taking a yoga class, just on my own and now I can't function without it. I have made great friends that keep me wanting to go back, and it's a phenomenal workout. Try it!

Hana's Healthy Habits
Man, I have done it all, diet pills, gym memberships, workout videos, books, websites, and running. All of that may work for a few weeks and even be fun, but eventually I forget or have other more imortant things to do, or just don't feel like it. Being healthy, being at your right weight, getting reccomended exercise and adequate nutrition is alot to think about. And if you listen to everyone's ads and advice you could end up spending a fortune. I have slowly and painfully, finally learned to adjust my lifestyle so that these things happen naturally. It has to be a change in your thinking rather than a determination to get to the gym three times a week, or take a pill every time you eat. So this is what i have come up with.
